If you have questions regarding the social insurance system, please contact the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, Försäkringskassan (www.fk.se).

If you have questions regarding pensions in Sweden, please contact the Swedish Pensions Agency, Pensionsmyndigheten (www.pensionsmyndigheten.se).

If you are not satisfied with a decision made by the Social Insurance Agency, you may request that it be reconsidered. If you believe the decision is wrong, even after reconsideration, you may appeal to the Administrative Court  (Förvaltningsrätten). If you also consider the Court’s decision to be incorrect, you can make a further appeal to the Administrative Court of Appeal (Kammarrätten). The next step is to appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court (Högsta förvaltningsdomstolen).

If you believe a government agency has caused you harm and want to request economic compensation, you have the right to claim damages. The claim should be sent to the agency in question.

If you think the harm inflicted on you was due to an incorrect decision by a government agency, or by the lack of a decision from an agency, your claim should be sent to the Chancellor of Justice (Justitiekanslern, JK), Box 2308, 103 17 Stockholm (www.jk.se).
